How we use your information
This notice explains what personal information Ridgeway Security Consulting Ltd collects through this website and what we do with it. We are the data controller. Company no. 17446702, registered in England and Wales.
What we collect
When you use the contact form we receive your name, work email address, organisation, the topic you chose and your message. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the email.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go on to work with us, to manage that engagement. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a request you made. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your details with third parties for their own use.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. When you send the form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person rather than an automated program, which involves processing information about your browser and connection.
- Resend delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
- Google Workspace provides our email, so your enquiry and our replies are stored there.
- Google Fonts serves the typeface used on this site, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 12 months from our last contact with you, then delete them. If your enquiry leads to an engagement, we keep the related correspondence for as long as the engagement and our legal and accounting obligations require.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email enquiries@ridgewaysecurity.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
